Mallet Die Punch

This mallet die sample cutter (60-1134) is used to prepare constant radius samples for Elmendorf Tear Testing.  With this die you can cut a constant radius sample by placing the sample underneath and using a mallet on the handle to prepare your Elmendorf tear samples. Suitable for use with materials such as paper, nonwovens, and plastic film to meet industry standards using these samples to test with the ProTear Elmendorf Tear Testing Machine.

Description

This mallet die sample cutter (60-1134) is used to prepare constant radius samples for Elmendorf Tear Testing.  With this die you can cut a constant radius sample by placing the sample underneath and using a mallet on the handle to prepare your Elmendorf tear samples. Suitable for use with materials such as paper, nonwovens, and plastic film to meet industry standards using these samples to test with the ProTear Elmendorf Tear Testing Machine.

Use to prepare constant radius samples for the ProTear Elmendorf Tear Tester.  

NOTE: The Die does not cut the pretest slit. This is cut by the ProTear prior to testing. For optimum cut quality, we recommend the use of a 3 lb mallet hammer and an HDPE cutting board with a minimum thickness of 1” and a durometer no greater than 76.
