Z-Directional force (ZDT) measures internal bond strength and fiber bond strength in single-ply sheets of paperboard, liner board, coated fine papers and other paper materials. This property indicates the expected performance of materials in relation to the glue-bonding of cartons, high tack coating use and delamination. ZDT testing is similar to internal bond testing, but in this format, testing is completed on a Universal Testing Machine Frame such as the Vantage^NX.
