Adhesives Testing Equipment

Adhesion is the measurement of bond strength between an adhesive coating and a substrate. When an adhesive bonds to a surface, multiple mechanical, physical and chemical forces come into play, affecting the performance of the bond. These forces must meet various industry specifications before a product becomes part of the manufacturing process.

Depending on the product, application and industry, adhesives may need to comply with multiple ASTM, PSTC, ISO or other international standards. Some of the most common adhesive tests measure shear strength, peel adhesion and seal strength.
