Description
The lid removal fixture is designed for use with the Vantage NX Tensile Tester to evaluate the force required to remove either a rigid or flexible lid from a container used in packaging such as sealed food cups, drink cups, Styrofoam cups, clam shell packaging, plastic packaging for food and many other applications. The fixture includes a vacuum operated lower fixture to securely hold the package in place and either a hook or clamp to pull off the lidding material or open the package. The design of the fixture features a slotted plate that allows the lower suction cup to be positioned to best replicate how the package is opened. Â
This fixture can be customized based on specific package dimensions and testing needs.
