The basis weight sample cutter (9.52 in2) is a circular cutter designed to accurately, rapidly and safely cut out samples for basis weight and grammage measurement.

How to Use:

To determine basis weight, cut a sample of known area, weigh it and use the appropriate conversion formula to calculate the weight per standard basis weight or grammage.

Circular Sample Cutter (175B)

The basis weight sample cutter is used to prepare a 100 cm2 sample for basis weight and grammage measurement. Ideal use is for sheeted materials including paper, paperboard, corrugated, textiles, and plastic films.

Electric Circular Cutter (RL-ECC-A)

The Electric Circular Cutter (RL-ECC-A) prepares circular samples with an area of 100 cm2 from materials such as textiles, paper and cardboard. It is suitable for preparing samples for measuring grammage and determining basis weight.
