(DIN) 1939 is a quality testing procedure developed by the German Institute for Standardization. It’s part of the overall mission of DIN standards to help laboratories test material properties and standardize manufacturing processes to hold companies to a specific quality standard that can be measured. 

What Is the DIN 1939 Standard?

This specific rule sets the requirements for the adhesion qualities of self-adhesive tapes and assures the long-term performance of pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs). To meet this standard, a test that measures peel adhesion properties at specific angles and temperatures is required.
