Know how your boxes hold up before they ship
Every corrugated box in a warehouse stack carries the weight of the ones above it, often for weeks. The Regmed P-4000S box compression tester puts that load on the box in the lab, so packaging engineers and QC teams can see exactly where a design fails, how far it bends first, and how it behaves under sustained weight.
One frame, three kinds of test
Because preload, pre-deformation and load hold time are all programmable, the P-4000S covers the full range of box compression work without changing hardware:
- Failure testing: compress to collapse and record the maximum load the box can take.
- Deformation testing: stop at a set deflection to study critical deformation and how the structure gives way.
- Stacking simulation: hold a defined load over time to model long-term warehouse and pallet stacking.
That makes the same machine useful for day-to-day production QC and for R&D on new board grades, flute profiles and box designs.

Built for consistent, repeatable results
A rigid frame keeps the compression platens parallel throughout the stroke, and the lower platen rests on four high-precision load cells, so off-center or uneven boxes still produce reliable readings. Load resolution is 0.1 kgf (1 N), deformation resolution is 0.1 mm, and test speed is programmable from 5 to 25 mm/min.
Sized for large and palletized packaging
The standard 1000 × 1000 mm platen handles most shipping cartons, with 1000 × 1200 mm and 1000 × 1400 mm options for larger boxes, bulk bins and multi-unit packs. Capacity is 4,000 kgf, with a 5,000 kgf version available.
