Upgraded Option for Tensile Grips on the FP-2260 add Higher Capacity Testing.

The Thwing-Albert FP-2260 Friction/Peel Tester is designed as a compact instrument to measure coefficient of friction, peel strength, seal strength and tensile strength tests.  This machine has a small footprint that is ideal for both laboratory and production floor materials testing of a variety of materials including flexible plastic films, paper, labels, tapes, nonwovens, textiles and other sheet materials.

Now, a new set of sample clamps are available for the FP-2260.  These vise grips offer a higher capacity of 100N lbf, making it a cost-effective option for tensile, peel and seal strength testing.  The grips can be equipped with faces from 25 to 100 millimeters depending on the required industry standards that are to be met.  MAP4 Software can be partnered with this machine and give the power to run complex reports for data analysis including audit tracking and pass/fail results.

Thwing-Albert’s FP-2260 has several additional fixtures available for peel testing applications including a 180 degree peel arm, 90 degree, T-Peel fixture and lightweight mechanical clamps for measuring tensile strength.

This addition of new vise grips creates a solution for customers that need to test at a higher range but do not have a need for a Universal Testing Machine.  It is a reliable testing machine that can be adjusted to the customer’s testing application or industry standard using MAP4 Testing Software to power the test and analyze the data.
